AC Milan 1-3 Liverpool: Milan’s Pulisic Stuns Liverpool Early, but Reds Rally for Win

With the new format implemented in the UEFA European Champions League, one of the first-week matches was played in Milan. AC Milan hosted Liverpool at home.

First Half

The match started with a goal. Christian Pulisic put the home team ahead 1-0 in the third minute after Alvaro Morata’s assist.

In the 23rd minute, Ibrahima Konate equalized by taking a free kick before Maignan, giving Liverpool fans some relief.

In the 41st minute, Virgil van Dijk put Liverpool ahead with a corner kick from Tsimikas. The first half ended 1-2.

Second Half

In the 67th minute of the second half, Cody Gakpo entered the penalty area from the left. After that, Dominik Szoboszlai doubled the lead by sending the ball into the net. The match ended 1-3.
