Ballon d'Or Winner is Here: Ousmane Dembele

Paris Saint-Germain's French star Ousmane Dembele won the Ballon d'Or award, given to the footballer of the year, after a successful season.

The 2025 Ballon d'Or award, organized by the French football magazine France Football, found its owner at the ceremony held at the Chatelet Theater in Paris, the capital of France. Dembele, 28, who performed wonders with Paris Saint-Germain last season, won the Ballon d'Or award.

Barcelona's Spanish player Lamine Yamal came in second, while PSG's Portuguese player Vitinha came in third. The best women's player award went to Spain's national team and Barcelona star Aitana Bonmati for the third consecutive year.

Dembele joins French football legends with Ballon d'Or

The PSG star became the sixth French player in history to win the Ballon d'Or, joining Raymond Kopa, Michel Platini, Jean-Pierre Papin, Zinedine Zidane, and Karim Benzema. In the best season of his career, Dembélé scored 35 goals and provided 16 assists in 53 games, leading his team to many trophies:

Kopa Cup Winners

Barcelona's 18-year-old Spanish star Lamine Yamal won the Kopa Trophy, awarded to the best under-21 player of the season, for the second consecutive year. The women's winner of this award was 19-year-old striker Vicky Lopez, also from Barcelona.

The Gerd Müller Cup Winners

The Gerd Müller Cup, awarded to the forward of the year, went to Arsenal's Swedish footballer Viktor Gyökeres in the men's category and to Barcelona's Polish player Ewa Pajor in the women's category.

The Lev Yashin Award Winners

The Lev Yashin Award, given to the best goalkeeper of the year, went to Manchester City's Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma in the men's category. Chelsea's English goalkeeper Hannah Hampton won the women's category.

The Best Coaches of the Year

Paris Saint-Germain's Spanish coach, Luis Enrique, has been awarded the Men's Coach of the Year award.

Sarina Wiegman, the Dutch coach of the England national team, also received the Women's Coach of the Year award.
